Having performed at several hundred weddings over the years all over Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, Kent and the South East, I have built a reputation for peace of mind and reliability, professionalism, and a personal service next to none.  My musical knowledge is extensive, and I will work with you to ensure that your day brings back many amazing memories.  I do also DJ at other types of function, but being a wedding reception DJ is my speciality, and you will see my passion and enthusiasm when I am at work on your wedding.

Professionalism

I pride myself on providing the highest level of service to all my clients.  This means responding to all communications in a timely and helpful manner, listening to what YOU the client wants, providing written agreements, operating within a strict code of conduct demanded by my membership of the South Eastern Discotheque Association, ensuring all my equipment is safe to all (PAT testing), and being indemnity insured to £10M (PLI).  I also pay tax on my business and have a ProDub license which allows me to play music on any format legally.

Reliability

All the processes I have developed in my business as a mobile DJ mean that I have thought about what can and what does go wrong.  I have spare equipment with me at every function, so if something does go wrong, I can quickly return to normal service.  Many other DJ’s don’t see this as important and either don’t have spare equipment on hand or don’t have any at all!  I have platinum membership of a motoring organisation to ensure that I can reach my destination.

Flexibility

With a natural ‘can do’ attitude, I am happy to assist all involved with your special day and deal with any changes or additions to my service.  Other vendors such as a photographer, videographer, or a band may have requirements which involve the wedding reception DJ, it is always a pleasure to work with everyone to ensure that your big day is a great success and goes without a hitch.

Planning advice

As I have worked on a lot of weddings, I have a really good insight on how things run, and how to avoid common pitfalls.  When you book me as the DJ for your wedding, I will arrange a planning session at which we can discuss YOUR requirements in full detail.  As time counts down to your big day, you can count on my full support to make your dreams come true - if you need me to visit you again or change timings, no problem!

Personalised service

With many years experience as a Professional DJ, and being an expert wedding reception DJ, I know that no two functions are ever the same.  Each one of my clients has a different plan for their wedding, and of course music tastes vary between different groups of people.  When we meet to plan your wedding party, I will help you personalise your party.  I have a lot of great ideas which make your event memorable for all the right reasons.  For example, at the top of this page, the biggest image shows Kristy being serenaded by Simon and his rugby club team.  This is a moment Kristy and Simon will never forget, and a fantastic photo opportunity for all!

Equipment

So you have spent a fortune on hiring the most beautiful venue for your wedding, do you really want the look totally ruined by the arrival of the mobile disco from hell?!  The Dancemix show is not only very neat but tidy.  The sound quality of both of my Bose L1 and Void sound systems is truly of a hi-fi standard which a lot of other wedding reception DJ’s aspire to, lighting is subtle and will complement your venue and make it look fantastic as night falls.  If you would rather have Blackpool illuminations, then it can be done as I run another project (HouseProud), and I network with all my local colleagues and therefore have access to the best equipment there is.  I use the very best available sound production and mixing sources which allow me to be confident in the reliability, quality and creativity opportunities they present.

Safety

My equipment is tested for electrical safety annually using the PAT testing method.  Any client can see the certificate on demand, and once you have booked my services, I will forward an information pack to the venue management or to your wedding co-ordinator. 

Other services

My standard fee includes me as your DJ for the evening, a sublime sound system, and fantastic lighting to suit your venue.  Optionally, I can install LED uplighting also known as mood lighting which totally transforms your venue, or I can run themed or even white lighting which gives an incredibly chic feel to your wedding party.  I also provide stunning starlit dance floor hire which takes your breath away when you see it!

For a little extra, I can be set up in the afternoon and provide background music for your wedding breakfast, microphones and PA for speeches as required.  And if you would like me to do the music for your wedding ceremony, this can also be very easily arranged as I have done this many times as well as being the wedding reception DJ.

Dress code

How many times have you been to a party only to find the DJ in jeans, trainers, and a scruffy t-shirt?  For a wedding, my clients have the choice of how I am dressed!  For most events, I wear black shoes, trousers and a black shirt with an open collar.  I can also wear a suit, shirt & tie, or a black tie suit to blend in with your guests.  Or, for example if you have a ‘summer of love’ theme and your guests are in relaxed clothing, do let me know and I will join in!

The Wedding music Sussex DJ party experience

Unlike most of my colleagues, I mix the music to a very high standard due to my advanced mixing skills.  This means no embarrassing gaps, big differences in volume levels, or mixes that sound like someone tipping out a cutlery drawer.  The benefit to the party is a smooth, modern style of DJing which ensures that the beat keeps going and in turn this ensures that your guests enjoy staying longer on the dancefloor.  My microphone technique is simple; I make clear announcement as and when they are required, but keep quiet in between tracks most of the time.  I mean, who the hell wants to know I have just played Rapper’s Delight, and here comes Stevie Wonder?!!!

Reliable Transport

In July 2010, I bought a new and smart Mercedes van to get me to all my functions safely, reliably, on time and unstressed!  I am not one of those DJs who turns up at a stunning venue in a dirty rusty old transit with an orange flashing light on top!!!
